Bukowski’s in Inman Square used to be *the* late-night watering hole after Craig Kapilow and I finished up spinning at The Druid on Saturday nights.

Please click here to read an article by Joanna Massey of the Boston Globe about our night that was featured on the front cover of the A&E section on August 19, 2004.

While The Druid is still going strong and continues to pour the best pint of Guinness in town, “Buks” sadly did not survive COVID.

Originally released on August 10, 2006, this music is a tribute to those wonderful memories and is best enjoyed in the company of old and dear friends.

This mix was originally recorded on June 22, 2006.

There was a lot going on back then: I was promoting Thursdays at The Druid with Jonathan Gladstone and Mark Chandler, spinning on Fridays at Redline in Harvard Square with K-Civ and Kris Kono (RIP), and Saturdays again at The Druid with Craig Kapilow and pretty much every New England-based DJ who was doing something positive including local luminaries Timmy Allen, Bradford James, Kendra Borowski, Maurice “Mo” Wilkey, Adam Gibbons, Francesco Spegna, DJ Cruzz, and others.

Sundays were for DJ Bruno and friends at Utopia but if I wasn’t up for crossing the river, it was the Phoenix Landing with Randy Deshaies.

    Those were the days.
